Istituto Moda Sgrigna has been offering training courses in fashion for more than 50 years. It formalized its brand in 2007 and was structured as an Srl (Società a responsabilità limitata, an Italian legal company entity) in 2013. The institute’s courses are both professional and amateur and allow students to acquire specific and practical skills, providing concrete foundations for future employment, to work on their own or to hone their skills while growing their passion. The patented SITAM method, a simplified system free of mathematical counting, allows for the inclusion of young people with learning difficulties.
The center trains classes with a maximum catchment area. Both the attendance and the curriculum are adaptable to the needs of the students, with the possibility of choosing time slots and courses to take, advancing “step by step” according to different learning times and making up for missed class hours. By attending Advanced Courses, it is possible to obtain certificates and diplomas necessary for the desired professions. Direct contact with companies, through internships and fashion events in which students have the opportunity to participate, facilitates entry into the job market.
Educational offerings include courses in fashion stylist, fashion designer, fashion pattern maker, pattern making, cutting and sewing, tailoring repairs, shirting, ceremony, bridal, embroidery, corsetry, elastics, fashion history.
