A weekend dedicated to sustainability in all its many facets, from ecological transition to smart mobility and new energy sources, to live more responsibly and discover cutting-edge initiatives and solutions capable of meeting today’s environmental challenges.
Now in its fourth edition, Rom-E brings to the center of Rome a rich program of events designed to raise public awareness on crucial issues for the preservation of the planet. The festival is sponsored by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, with the support of the Department of the Environment and the Department of Major Events, Sport, Tourism and Fashion of Roma Capitale.
The festival kicks off on 4 October, the day before the exhibition areas are opened to the public, with an open-door conference at the Casa del Cinema in Villa Borghese, to talk about the environment and sustainability together with prestigious guests, car manufacturers, institutions and insiders. The following two days, 5 and 6 October, are dedicated to the green exhibition, with stands and installations in some of the most beautiful and evocative areas of Rome, such as Viale delle Magnolie at Villa Borghese and Piazza Mignanelli, a stone’s throw from Piazza di Spagna.
Companies and organizations that care about environmental responsibility have the opportunity to present to the public innovative products and services, sustainable projects and creative ideas, to encourage the public to support a circular economy and make conscious choices. There will be many activities and side events, such as test drives of electric cars, a live performance by Lady Be, an Italian artist who composes eco-mosaics with recycled plastic, and wooden games handcrafted from natural materials.
