Videocittà 2022 - the Festival of Vision

Videocittà - the Festival of Vision, dedicated to the most advanced forms of audiovisual, this year takes place in the Gazometro area, a symbol of contemporary Rome, a key place for a Festival which, over the years, has made artists and digital professionals protagonists. The event, now in its fifth edition, presents five days of contamination with the performing and digital arts, monumental installations and thematic events to explore contemporary audiovisuals. The 2022 edition has as its theme the Transition, digital and ecological: a process that, thanks to a strategic vision, can lead to a new and more radical way of interpreting the relationship between human beings and the environment. Only the alliance between the environmentalist current and technological development can in fact be considered the premise for laying the foundations for a new, more sustainable world. Symbolic, therefore, is the choice of a place such as the area of ​​the former Gazometro, a site in perennial transition and transformation in which Eni is proceeding with the recovery of industrial structures and reclamation works, with the ultimate goal of making it a large open technology district. During the days of the Festival it is possible to explore an immersive path that invites us to reflect on the relationship between men and machines, taking into consideration an aspect common to all human beings: emotions. During this 2022 edition, the G2 space of the small Gazometro is also entirely dedicated to an interactive installation dedicated to children and not only. Between installations, live shows, video art, virtual reality, nft, educational and informative talks, you can therefore enjoy an immersive experience in the company of artists, creators, makers and digital leaders, through the most innovative and technological languages ​​and artistic practices.
