
The Ides of March return again this year: on March 15th, the reenactment of Julius Caesar's death will take place in Largo Argentina thanks to the Gruppo Storico Romano (Roman Historical Group), in collaboration with the Legio XXX Vlpia Victrix of the "Decima Legio" Cultural Association. The event, now in its 23rd year, attracts not only history buffs, but also Roman citizens and visitors from around the world, bringing to the city the living story of a moment that shaped deeply the fate of Rome and the transition from Republic to Empire.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, March 15th at 4:00 PM in the Sacred Area of Largo di Torre Argentina, where in 44 BC, in Pompey's Curia, Gaius Julius Caesar fell to the stabs of conspiring senators led by Marcus Junius Brutus and Gaius Cassius Longinus, who feared the end of the Republic, in one of the most dramatic and famous episodes in history. During the commemoration, the famous orations of Brutus, Mark Antony, and Calpurnia will also be delivered, recalling one of the most symbolic moments that followed Caesar's death.

- Historical reenactment of the conspiracy and assassination of Julius Caesar.
Approximately 4:40 PM
- Departure of the funeral procession from Largo di Torre Argentina to the statue of Julius Caesar on Via dei Fori Imperiali.
The event will be introduced by greetings and institutional speeches, which will take place at Largo di Torre Argentina.
