The Aperossa 2026

From July 13th to 17th and from July 20th to 24th, The Aperossa returns to enliven the Garbatella and Ostiense neighborhoods with its open-air workshop for participation, discussion, and discovery of the local area. For ten days, the public can participate free of charge in a rich and varied program, including meetings, book presentations, live podcasts, workshops for children, urban walks, guided tours, and film screenings thus confirming itself as a cultural experience able of intertwining heterogeneous languages ​​and a diverse audience, placing dialogue at the centre.

Special attention is given to younger visitors with CineLab Kids, led by Simona Debernardis. These workshops are designed for children aged 8 to 12, who have the opportunity to experience cinema firsthand, manipulating film, creating original visual works, and experiencing the magic of slow motion projection. The program also offers "A Day at the Museum", free guided tours of the Centrale Montemartini Museum, organized in collaboration with the Vita Romana Association. These tours allow visitors to discover one of the capital's most fascinating sites, where archaeology and industrial archaeology coexist in a unique dialogue.

The 2026 edition also focuses on the connection with the local area through EXPLORA – Ostiense to listen to. Stories from a changing neighborhood, a project developed in collaboration with the Marmorata 169 association. This ten-episode podcast, accessible online and through QR codes located throughout the city, takes the audience on a journey through history, cinema, literature, and memory, inviting residents and visitors to look with new eyes at one of Rome's most dynamic and multifaceted areas. Finally, collective reflection takes shape in the Apetalk, meetings and editorial presentations dedicated to current issues.
