Visit the archaeological area below the Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano, where the remains of an important domus, possibly belonging to the Lateran family, with richly frescoed walls are preserved.

The remains of the barracks of the Equites Singulares, i.e. the barracks of the Emperor's mounted bodyguards, belong to the late 2nd century.
