IIS Giorgi - Woolf

The IIS Giorgi - Woolf is a State Higher Education Institute born in 2018 from the union of two prestigious Roman schools: the Giovanni Giorgi (Institute with D.p.R. of 14/11/1967 no. 1490), named after the famous physicist-electronic engineer (1871-1950), inventor of the system of units of measurement that bears his name, and the Virginia Woolf (established in 1979), named after the popular English writer (1882-1941), one of the main figures in 20th-century literature, actively engaged in the struggle for women's rights.

The Giorgi - Woolf offers a wide choice of education and training paths, ranging from high school, to technical, to vocational.

The Professional Institute, with the Produzioni tessili e sartoriali - Moda (Made in Italy) (Textile and tailoring production - Fashion (Made in Italy) course, includes five continuous years of coursework, consisting of a common two-year course followed by a second two-year specialisation course and concluding with a final year with a state exam.
