In 1592, St Charles Borromeo had a monastery built with an adjoining church dedicated to St Clare. The entire complex was restored in 1627. Later, in 1855, the church was abandoned and then purchased by the Congregation of the Holy Spirit and rebuilt between 1883 and 1890.
The façade, completed in 1888 according to a design by Luca Carimini, has two orders. In the first we find a portal surmounted by a lunette, in the second seven windows surmounted by marble busts of saints. A triangular tympanum crowns it.
The interior has a single nave and is devoid of any important works or decorations. On the high altar is an altarpiece depicting the Holy Family by Virginio Monti.
