The church, the convent, and the symmetrical building represent a unique architectural ensemble. Built on a project by Ludovico Rusconi Sassi (1730-1734) it was restored during the second half of the 1800s by Antonio Cipolla. In 1872 its dome was rebuilt. The nearby convent of the Padri Pii Operai was built in1760 circa by Giovanni Francesco Fiori. In the chapel on the first floor one can admire all the paintings by Mariano Rossi.
