The parish was erected on 1 October 1989 by decree of Cardinal Vicar Ugo Poletti To all is known and entrusted to the secular clergy of the Novara diocese. The parish church was consecrated by Cardinal Vicar Camillo Ruini on 12 November 1995. The territory, taken from the parishes of the Resurrezione di N.S.G.C. and S. Margherita Maria Alacoque, by a subsequent decree of 1 July 1990, was determined within the following boundaries: Via Casilina to the east, starting from Via di Tor Vergata - Fosso del Cavaliere up to Via Giovanni Battista Pininfarina - ideal line reaching Via di Tor Vergata (leaving Via Giovanni B. Pininfarina all the way to the parish) continues as far as the Fosso del Giardino at the point where it joins the Fosso della Botte di Luciano and the Fosso dell'Incastro - Fosso del Giardino as far as the height of the Pozzi school (of the Resurrezione di N.S.G.C. parish) - Via Casilina.
