Aula Studio Vigna Clara

Designed as a space dedicated to study, work and collaboration, the Vigna Clara Study Room is a public space managed by Biblioteche di Roma and located in the 15th Municipality. It is a welcoming, functional and accessible environment that offers students and anyone in need of a quiet place the opportunity to read, study or work in ideal conditions.

The facility features 21 workstations within an air-conditioned study and co-working room, designed to ensure comfort, concentration and high-quality surroundings. Each workstation is equipped with power sockets and the entire room is covered by free Wi-Fi, providing everything needed to tackle a day of study or work in a modern and well-organised setting. The space is also accessible to people with disabilities, in the spirit of inclusion and full accessibility to public services.

As part of the city-wide network of Rome’s libraries and study rooms, the Vigna Clara Study Room represents an important cultural and social hub. Free access to a well-equipped, high-quality environment not only facilitates exam preparation and individual study, but also fosters the growth of a community that recognises study and sharing as fundamental tools for participation and development.

The value of this space is also linked to the context in which it was created. The study room is in fact situated within Vigna Clara station, which has been returned to the city after a long period of disuse. The redevelopment of the building has transformed a railway infrastructure into a place open to everyday life, capable of going beyond its role as a transport hub to become a space dedicated to culture, interaction and socialising. This project makes a tangible contribution to urban regeneration, strengthening the link between public services, the local area and the community, and providing a new focal point for students, workers and residents.
