The Historical Museum of Military Vehicles, which was established in 1955, is Italy’s only existing collection of vehicles spanning a century of military vehicle history.
The main purpose of this museum is to collect and preserve technical and historical materials relating to military vehicles, as well as military engineering, artillery, and communications. It houses historical objects and documents from military exploits that took place in both times of war and peace. The museum’s collections display the spiritual and ethical value of this military corps’ traditions and the leading role it played over a century of history.
In addition to the original purposes served by these historical objects, some of which are very rare, there is also a great deal of value in the evidence they provide, in terms of the technical and technological evolution of mechanical vehicles, which ultimately contributed to the development of our society.
