The third edition of the Equilibrio dance festival presents Firmament by artist Marcos Morau, the latest creation produced for his company La Veronal at the Auditorium Parco della Musica.
The show, designed mainly for an audience of teenagers, although suitable for spectators of all ages, represents a turning point in the artistic career of the Catalan choreographer, considered one of the greatest artists in the dance scene at an international level. In a scenography made of lights and video-animations that continuously transforms, opening up like a game of Chinese boxes, six dancers with bright costumes move in an almost dreamlike dimension, between real and unreal.
Marcos Morau, choreographer and artistic director of La Veronal, the company founded in Barcelona in 2005, is an author able of using very different languages and themes in complete freedom, with a choreographic writing entrusted to a heterogeneous vocabulary of styles, in countertrend compared to minimalism and deconstruction present in contemporary artistic languages.
The show is a co-production of the Equilibrio Festival/Fondazione Musica per Roma.
