The new InfoPoint at Termini station was inaugurated in the presence of the mayor and his tourism councilor Alessandro Onorato.
Thanks to an agreement with Grandi Stazioni, it was placed in the station's shopping gallery. The Pit is free and open 365 days a year, without holiday interruptions, and provides information to tourists arriving in Rome both on the major events taking place in the city and on the services offered. The Infopoint has a "look" that is changed monthly or bimonthly and represents one of the most important events included in the Capitoline events schedule.
The first company logo to appear on the new InfoPoint was dedicated to the Ryder Cup, one of the most important international sporting events which will take place for the first time in Italy, just outside Rome, from 29 September to 1 October.
Rome Termini Station is the first Italian railway station and has over 17.5 million visitors per month, with a stay on site of more than 20 minutes. In the pre-opening period, the Infopoint gave information to around 600 visitors a day.
