From 1 July, the Eternal City and the United States are even closer, thanks to the new direct flights of ITA Airways, which increases its intercontinental network through the connections with the Golden City.
The route will be operated with the Airbus A350, one of the most modern, efficient and technologically advanced aircraft currently on the market. From 1 July to 30 July, flights are scheduled with 3 weekly frequencies - every Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday - departing from Rome at 9:35 am and arriving at San Francisco International Airport at 1:15 pm local time, and from San Francisco at 03:15 pm, landing in Fiumicino at 12:15 local time. From 2 August to 28 October, the weekly frequencies increase from 3 to 5, with departures every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from both cities.
The new service adds to the flights already operated to New York, Boston, Miami, Los Angeles and the recent Rome – Washington flight, already active from 2 June initially with 5 weekly frequencies, to become daily from 1 August to 28 October.
