The exhibition at the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome presents about thirty unpublished or little-known works by Osvaldo Peruzzi (1907-2004), together with a group of drawings and documents, mostly never exhibited, from the Primo Conti Foundation of Fiesole and from the State Archives of Milan, in addition to the painting Aeropittura (1934) belonging to the collection of the Galleria d'Arte Moderna and considered one of the most important pictorial documents of the new futurist aesthetic theories.
The exhibition also intends to highlight the figure of this artist in the context of the futurist movement of the thirties and beyond, but also the relationships and correspondences of Peruzzi's poetics with Bruno Munari, Fillia and Enrico Prampolini - of which an exhibition again at the GAM - thus emphasizing the important role of Roman futurist culture between the first and second half of the twentieth century.
The exhibition is curated by Massimo Duranti, in collaboration with the Gerardo Dottori Archive.
