Quotidiana

The Museo di Roma Palazzo Braschi hosts a program of exhibitions and meetings dedicated to the contemporary Italian scene, promoted by the Quadriennale di Roma and Roma Culture, the Capitoline Superintendence for Cultural Heritage.

A real focus on Italian art of the 21st century that highlights phenomena and authors. It accentuates the continuous and experiential feature of the exhibition, which aims to enrich the knowledge of the current national artistic context.

Organized in line with the narrative work of the Quadriennale, Quotidiana is divided into two exhibition cycles:

- Landscape, six exhibitions every two months, with critical insights into the research of Italian artists. Each exhibition starts from an essay commissioned to Italian and foreign curators, available for public reading, to investigate artistic phenomena of the new century or research by specific authors. On display is a limited number of works - from one to three - to give the utmost attention to the elements of each of them. The Francis Offman exhibition opens the event (16 September to 13 November 2022), introduced by an essay by Hans Ulrich Obrist, director of the Serpentine Gallery in London and one of the most important international curators.
- Portfolio, eleven monthly exhibitions to introduce Italian artists under 35, chosen by the Artistic Direction of the Quadriennale in collaboration with Gaia Bobò, curator in residence at the institution. Present only one work or project per artist and a portfolio of their work. The first exhibition scheduled (16 September to 9 October 2022) is dedicated to Alessio Barchitta and his research based on the use of waste materials. Following are the installations by Daniele di Girolamo in which sound is the transformative element of the surrounding environment (from 13 October to 13 November).

It is an all-round immersion in contemporary art. The public can consult the critical texts of the curators in the reading space in the entrance hall between the two exhibition rooms and, in the Tenerani Room, attend conferences and debates. The Friends of the Quadriennale can participate in meetings on 21st-century Italian art coordinated by the art critic Ludovico Pratesi.

Quotidiana is part of the Quadrennial 95 Years Program, for which the Quadrienniale has received a contribution from the Mission Structure for the enhancement of national anniversaries and the participatory dimension of the new generations by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
