Pippi Longstocking

The musical at the Teatro Olimpico, in the Italian version by Sagitta Alter and Carlotta Proietti and directed by Fabrizio Angelini, was born from an idea by Gigi Proietti and becomes a show with original features, where the absolute protagonist is Pippi Longstocking, the character from the fairy tale born from the pen of the Swedish writer Astrid Lindgren and became famous all over the world.

Pippi Longstocking represents one of the most loved characters of all generations, who embodies a free, independent, intolerant of rules, rebellious and above all spontaneous spirit. On stage, a cast of actors, singers, dancers-acrobats tells the story of the little girl with red pigtails, freckles and the unmistakable colorful dresses. Together with her, her faithful companions: the funny polka dot horse called Zietto (Uncle) and the funny little monkey Nilsson. With her verve, Pippi reminds us of the importance of daydreaming, the value of friendship and feelings, which are worth more than an empty external etiquette.

The show, lively and full of panache, with acrobatics, twists and turns, music, gives us a truly unique evening.
