Founded in 1973 by Lelio Basso uniting his own personal library with the ISSOCO, it promotes the research in the fields of history, economics and politics. Its Archive comprises an international section with documents dating back to the French Revolution to the Second International, and a section of contemporary history of Italy comprising documents on Psi, Psiup, Anarchism and other Fonds on the history of the European Left.
