The MUST (Museo Universitario di Scienze della Terra) is the result of the integration of the three historical museums of Geology, Mineralogy and Palaeontology of Sapienza University of Rome.
It hosts 34,000 mineralogical, 6,000 geological and 100,000 palaeontological samples (minerals, gems, meteorites, rocks and fossils, which often constitute unique specimens at national and international level), as well as books, thematic maps and instruments of historical importance.
The total area of the MUST, spread over four floors, is about 4,100 m2, almost entirely dedicated to exhibition rooms. In addition, about 300 m2 are dedicated to research laboratories shared between the Museum and the Department.
The MUST offers a free LIS information service by appointment.
