The river is life, and the Tiber is no exception, it is a heritage of biodiversity that sustains Rome's ecosystem, it is a tourist, recreational, educational and social resource.

For this reason, and to enhance a river heritage that is unique in the world, after a careful clean-up and reclamation operation, the Parchi d'affaccio fluviali di Roma Capitale (River Parks of Roma Capitale) have been created to make the Tiber a continuous linear park and an asset that can be enjoyed by all.

An area of great historical and naturalistic value, formerly a WWF Oasis, encloses, between Ponte del Risorgimento and Ponte Matteotti, the first Jubilee River Park of Roma Capitale.

With an extension of 1.6 hectares, the Parco d'affaccio Oasi Naturalistica Lungotevere delle Navi (Overlook Park Naturalistic Oasis Lungotevere delle Navi) was created as part of the Jubilee interventions, to enhance a part of the urban stretch of the Tiber River. as part of a project that aims at the total redevelopment of the banks of the river of Rome: a project that combines usability and accessibility, also with regard to education, between environmental and landscape subtenaibility.

To make the park fully usable by all, citizens and tourists alike, a wooden walkway with a total length of 570 metres has been built, connected to open spaces and lay-bys occupying a surface area of 370 square metres, dedicated to resting and nature education activities.

The structures are made of wood, to ensure minimal impact on the flora and fauna, and dialogue with a renewed vegetation component: in fact, the area, which had been degraded for a long time, has been renaturalised by restoring the ecological balance so as to favour an increase in biodiversity.

A wooden and rope fence was also created on the high edge of the bank, and lighting was provided for the entire area.
