Palazzo Attolico

This 17th-century palace was originally owned by Alessandro Mileto, as indicated by the name engraved on the architrave of the entrance portal. At the end of the 19th century, it became the property of the Attolico family. Its courtyard is semi-circular, punctuated by columns alternating with vases and linked by wrought-iron volutes.

From an architectural point of view, the façade of Palazzo Mileti Attolico follows the typical late Renaissance style; indeed, it features many of the stylistic elements of Palazzo Medici Lante, and is divided into three sections by string courses, with the sides framed by purely ornamental flat rustication.

The original design probably featured a rectangular courtyard; a later intervention transformed the rear section into a nymphaeum.
