Auditorium Albergotti

The Auditorium Albergotti is once again accessible to the community of Municipality XIII thanks to a major urban regeneration and enhancement project in the area. Situated between Via Francesco Albergotti and Via Domenico Tardini, adjacent to the Park del Pineto, this cultural venue – designed in 2003 and rebuilt following the fire in November 2016 – returns to its role as a reference point for the territory.

Funded by Roma Capitale, the works – which began in July 2023 and were completed in April 2026 – have reconfigured the structure, reimagining it as a flexible multi-purpose hall suitable for different events: concerts, performances, temporary exhibitions, film screenings and conferences. Besides the main hall, which has a capacity of 264 seats (partly removable), the Auditorium features a 130-square-metre foyer suitable for events and workshops, a bookshop area, two control rooms, a cloakroom, a ticket office, technical rooms, storage areas and dressing rooms.

The building’s renovation is part of a comprehensive urban regeneration programme, which has also involved the external area. Financed with the 2025 Jubilee funds, the project has redesigned the spaces, creating a greater continuity between the building and the nearby Park del Pineto and enhancing the dialogue between architecture and landscape. The former car park has been transformed into a square – designed as a connecting point between the Auditorium and the park entrance – for outdoor events and, at the same time, a family-friendly pedestrian space with revitalised green areas, a place for gathering and socialising with eco-sustainable street furniture and play areas.

The Auditorium Albergotti will open its doors to the public for the first time on Thursday, 2 July at 9.00 pm, with a feast involving the whole municipality. The programme features the concert Semo gente de’ borgata, performed by the ensemble Le Nuvole Barocche, founded in 2011 by Giovanni Bocci. The show, organised by the Teatro Aurelia, traces the history of Roman musical tradition, from the songs of artists such as Petrolini, Fiorini and Proietti to contemporary singer-songwriters’ ones.
Admission is free, subject to available seating, with reservations recommended by email to auditoriumalbergotti.mun13@comune.roma.it.
