The parish was erected on 9 March 1960 by decree of Cardinal Vicar Clemente Micara Quotidianis curis and entrusted to the diocesan clergy of Rome. Its territory, taken from that of the parishes of S. Maria del Rosario di Pompei alla Magliana and S. Maria del Carmine e S. Giuseppe al Casaletto, was determined within the following boundaries: G.R.A. from Via della Pisana to the boundary of the Somaini Estate, beyond Via Portuense - follow said boundary of the property to the left until you come to Fosso della Magliana, which you follow to the left until you reach Via Portuense - Via Portuense towards Rome to Via delle Vigne, which you follow until you reach Via di Villa Guglielmi - follow said Via to Via degli Orti della Magliana and, crossing Via dei Monti delle Capre, take the alley of Orti della Magliana - from here cutting in a straight line across the fields, you reach the beginning of Vicolo Clementi, which you follow as far as Via Portuense - Via Portuense to the right as far as Vicolo della Fanella, which you follow as far as Casale Vignoli - from here you follow the Marrana di scarico of the houses of the Comune to the left, until you reach the boundary of the Tenuta Castelnuovo - you walk along this boundary of the property and then along the boundary of the Tenuta Jacobini (which remain in the parish of S. Maria del Carmine and S. Giuseppe ) as far as Vicolo del Conte - follow the alley as far as Via Bravetta, which is followed to the left as far as Via i Craffa - Via dei Caraffa as far as Via della Pisana, which is followed to the left as far as the G.R.A..Recognition for civil effects was decreed on 5 April 1961.
