On November 25, International Day against Violence against Women, Roma Capitale launches the communication campaign #NessunaScusa (NoExcuse), during which a month of events spread throughout the territory are planned to reaffirm the commitment against gender violence. Promoted and coordinated by the Department of Productive Activities and Equal Opportunities, the initiative includes a series of events, activities in the different neighborhoods, as well as moments of reflection designed to raise awareness among citizens of all ages, on a topic that is more important than ever today and current.

The calendar of events was structured by involving the Libraries of Rome, the Anti-Violence Centres of Rome Capital, the Presidency of the Capitoline Assembly and all the Municipalities and above all offering a rich and varied program: workshops, exhibitions, concerts, conferences, round tables , shows, sporting activities and many other events to say "enough to violence against women" and to reflect together on the actions to be taken to stop the spread of this dramatic phenomenon, focusing on the young generations, on representation of violence, on joint work with associations and businesses.

At the Museum of Rome, the successes and discrimination of the women artists present at the current exhibition Painter Rome. Female artists at work between the 16th and 19th centuries; at the Casal de' Pazzi Museum the debate on the figure of women in prehistory is enriched with new points of view; at the Gallery of Modern Art the works on display are a stimulus for reflection on gender stereotypes; at the Argentina Theater Museum a themed visit focuses on the role of the female figure in the history of theatre; at the Museum of the Roman Republic and the memory of Garibaldi, the figure of Colomba Antonietti, a very young heroine of the Roman Republic of 1849, is told; at the Trajan's Markets - Museum of the Imperial Forums the Caryatids become food for thought on images of violence against women in antiquity and at the Theater of Marcellus narratives and readings tell the dramatic stories of some of the women of the Julio Claudian imperial family; at the Villa di Massenzio various dance performances followed by moments of discussion with the public are designed to enhance the rights of the person beyond any gender label.
