Romadiffusa is the itinerant cultural festival sponsored by Roma Capitale and Municipio I that since 2022 has been telling the city’s truest new and contemporary soul, in its most iconic places and in unexpected contexts. The program includes events ranging from visual arts to literature, from music to food, from craft workshops to theatre and dance, and involving innovative realities, artists, musicians and young designers.
Performances in the alleyways, secret concerts in the squares and ancient shops of the center, courtyards of the historic buildings that can be visited, installations, public art, workshops and open studios of artists and craftsmen. These are some of the events on the calendar for the third edition of the event dedicated once again this year to the historic center, and specifically to the “ansa barocca” – that is, the Tiber recess that runs from Piazza Navona to the Lungotevere, including the Rioni Ponte, Parione and Regola.
Special openings include live experimental music and performances in the courtyards of the church of Sant’Ivo alla Sapienza and Palazzo Antonelli, a concert by Mnnqns at Palazzo Altemps, live electronic music among the ancient volumes of the Vallicelliana Library and poetry readings in the osterie. Other special events include the dreamlike design installations by Cargo Collection in the setting of Palazzo Nardini, one of the most interesting places in the baroque loop, the three site-specific works by Giulia Mangoni, Tura Oliveira and Valentina Sciarra inspired by the symbols and history of the three Rioni, and Patrizia Bonanzinga’s exhibition investigating the theme of travel.
