As of July, Rome's public transport ticket prices will be updated - as provided for by the Regional Council Resolution (DGR) No. 91/2025 of the Lazio Region, an adjustment aimed at providing an efficient service in line with the needs of a constantly evolving city.
The only exception is the BIT, the 100-minute single ticket, whose fare remains unchanged. On the other hand, extended validity tickets are subject to an increase: the cost rises to €8.50 for the 24-hour ticket, €15.00 for the 48-hour ticket, €22.00 for the 72-hour ticket and €29.00 for the CIS - Integrated 7 Days Card.
The increase also applies to tickets valid in the Lazio Region: depending on the number of zones (from 1 to 7), the cost of the BIRG (Integrated Regional Daily Ticket) varies from € 4.00 to € 16.50, the BTR (Regional Tourist Ticket) from € 10.80 to € 46.50 and the CIRS (Integrated Regional Weekly Ticket) from € 16.50 to € 70.00.
Electronic, digital, and paper tickets purchased by 30 June will remain valid until 31 October, with the possibility of replacing only unused paper tickets, up to a maximum of ten per request, by the end of the year.
