More scooters and bikes are planned in the centre of Rome, along with physical parking spaces to prevent the increasingly widespread abandonment of vehicles. With the Jubilee and the increase in tourists, in fact, the Rome Mobility Department has been thinking for some time about strengthening the capital's sharing services. This intention was also confirmed during the last hearing held in the Mobility Commission in February; in the meantime, the first 50 parking spaces, both virtual and physical, are about to be installed where micromobility vehicles can be left.

As for scooters, it is clear that they are one of the favorite means of transport for both citizens and tourists: from January to September 2024, in fact, 6,700,000 trips were recorded with scooters compared to 1,800,000 with bicycles. Lately, however, with the new rules of the Highway Code that require the use of helmets for those who want to ride scooters, the use of bicycles is increasing significantly.

Also for the latter, according to data provided by Lime, in 2024 the Capital recorded a 36% increase in trips compared to the previous year, even before the new road rules came into force. Suffice it to say that, in September 2024 alone, there were 477,000 trips made, a clear sign that sharing is no longer a novelty, but is becoming a consolidated habit.
