As part of a special initiative, "Play!Ground Together" will be presented to the local community. This project, developed in collaboration with the Department of Major Events, Sport, Tourism and Fashion of Rome Capital, has involved the renovation of an area of the Parco Urbano dei Quattro Venti in Rome's Municipio XII - the green space surrounding the Viale dei Quattro Venti train station - transforming it into a redeveloped, accessible, and community-friendly sports and recreational space.
The inauguration is scheduled for June 16th at 4:30 pm, with additional special activities also scheduled for June 17th and 18th, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The project restores to the Monteverde neighborhood and its residents an area designed for play, sport, and socializing, with particular attention to children, families, and young people, promoting its shared use.
Specifically, the redevelopment included the reclamation of the entire area, the installation of a drinking water point with a system for reusing water for irrigation, the installation of a new fence with three pedestrian entrances, the creation of an area dedicated to urban gardens, a pedestrian path, the installation of new benches, and the creation of a fitness trail and a new equipped dog area, in addition to the aforementioned play-ground area.
