Sunday 21 May the National Day of the Italian Historic Houses Association returns, i.e. the largest widespread museum in Italy. Now in its XIII edition, the event allows you to rediscover the hidden beauties of our country and our city; in fact, over 500 monuments are open: castles, fortresses, villas, parks and gardens that can be visited for free, a unique opportunity to enjoy an artistic and cultural heritage that is too often ignored, but also to grasp the enormous social and economic value that the of historic homes it represents. In fact, these buildings constitute a fundamental element above all for the economies of the villages in which they are located.
Their presence on the territory is in fact very important for some supply chains; for the artisan sector, in particular restoration, or for tourism (which includes catering, accommodation and visits to buildings), not to mention the agricultural and wine sectors. Investing in these sectors therefore also means creating employment opportunities for the youngest, it means conserving, enhancing and passing on those assets and knowledge that still today make Italian private assets extraordinary in the eyes of the world.
