Vissi d’arte, vissi d’amore. Aspettando Giacomo Puccini (I lived on art, I lived on love. Waiting for Giacomo Puccini), which is part of the Summer Season of the Opera Theater at the Caracalla's Baths, represents a tribute to Giacomo Puccini on the occasion of the celebrations of the centenary of his death. And, in this sense, the title of the evening takes up the famous soprano aria from the second act of the opera Tosca.

The show consists of music, singing, theater and theatrical readings to portray the figure of the great musician and in particular his relationship with critics, public opinion and the historical and geographical context. In fact, the dramaturgy takes into consideration the life and events, retracing the biography of the Tuscan composer, his training and years of study at the conservatory, his first compositions, his operatic debut, his successes and the most difficult years and, finally, the last years of its existence.
