Video story on Shepard Fairey “3 Decades of dissent”

A virtual visit to the Shepard Fairey “3 Decades of dissent” exhibition through a video story describing the exhibition recently hosted at the Gallery of Modern Art in Rome, curated by Shepard Fairey himself, one of the best known and most influential street artist, whose fame peaked following the iconic HOPE poster supporting Barack Obama’s 2008 candidacy for President of the United States.

In the company of Claudio Crescentini, one of the curators of the exhibition, the video traces the salient themes of the 30 years of dissent of the American artist, hinging on some of the 30 most representative works on display experimenting languages, styles and political messages, including the struggle for peace and against racial violence, the defense of human and gender dignity, the protection of the environment.
