Unscheduled Festival - UNISON. With many voices

Also this year the appointment with the Unscheduled Festival - UNISON. With many voices, the international contemporary dance festival of the Capital under the artistic direction of Valentina Marini is back. Now in its eighth edition, the event includes three weeks of shows, meetings with authors, residencies, workshops and special projects between the India Theater, Castel Sant'Angelo, the Quarticciolo Library Theater and Tor Tre Teste Park.

The term unison - from the Latin uni (one) and sonus (sound) - is used in music to indicate the effect of two or more sounds of equal pitch, even if of different timbres, which play the same melody simultaneously. In common language it is therefore a word used as a synonym of concord, in full harmony. To the word "Unison" is added "in many voices" which instead serves to underline a plurality, an intertwining of different timbres to form a common path.

Among the artists, productions and projects we mention the special site specific project by Silvia Gribaudi, the Israeli productions with the creations of Ophir Kunesch, Lior Tavori, Olivia Court Mesa and Andrea Costanzo Martini, the dancers from different parts of the world such as the Australian based in France Thomas Alfred Bradley, Elìas Aguirre and the Qabalum collective from Spain and the Bulgarian-born artist Krassen Krastev. Without forgetting the Italians Francesco Marilungo, Salvo Lombardo, mk and Daniele Ninarello with a creation involving the award-winning indie-rocker Cristina Donà and the Premio Tenco Saverio Lanza, the Italian-Japanese Masako Matsushita.

Therefore, national and international artists, great authors with a ten-year career and the new discoveries of the dance panorama are the voices that give substance to the theme and title of this edition.
