
The concert by the Roma Tre Orchestra conducted by Sieva Borzak at the Palladium Theatre, with Leonardo Spinedi (violin) and Giovanni Bertolazzi (piano), is a tribute to Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, one of the most important Russian composers of all time.
The evening's program includes the Concert in D major for violin and orchestra op. 35, the only one for violin written by the great composer, is a work of great virtuosity and emotional intensity; followed by the Piano Concert no. 1, another masterpiece, among the most famous in the repertoire of all time.
Leonardo Spinedi, violinist, guitarist and composer, graduated with top marks in violin from the “A.Casella” Conservatory in L'Aquila. In 2007 he undertook a path of high soloist improvement with Dejan Bogdanovich, attending also masterclasses with the masters P. Berman, M.Fiorini, O.Semchuck. He has collaborated with the Orchestra Stabile del Molise and with the Roma Film Orchestra, recording numerous soundtracks. As a composer and violinist he created the album Morning Moon - for piano and string quartet produced and published by GDM music in 2012.
Giovanni Bertolazzi, after studying piano privately between Verona and Vicenza, completed his three-year academic studies at the Venice Conservatory, graduating with full marks in 2018, under the guidance of Massimo Somenzi. In addition to having an intense concert activity, the young pianist has won more than forty prizes in national and international competitions, in Italy and abroad, the most important of which is the fourth prize obtained in 2019 at the Ferruccio Busoni International Competition in Bolzano.
