A thousand incarnations but a unique identity: the eclectic music pioneers return to the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone as part of the Roma Summer Fest 2024.
The iconic British band, who recently released the refined album New Gold Dream - Live From Paisley Abbey, performs for Global Tour 2024, their most impressive one since 1985, presenting the most recent songs and greatest hits from their extraordinary repertoire.
On stage are the two historical members, Jim Kerr (vocals) and Charlie Burchill (guitars, keyboards), with Gordy Goudie (acoustic guitar), Ged Grimes (bass), Cherisse Osei (drums) and Sarah Brown (vocals).
Founded in the late 1970s, Simple Minds, which took their name from a verse of David Bowie's song The Jean Genie, immediately stood out for their art-rock style inspired by the chameleonic British singer and Donna Summer's electronic dance, giving life to a band of inexhaustible inspiration, a symbol for generations.
From Life In A Day, their 1979 debut song and album, to New Gold Dream, Speed Your Love To Me, Glittering Prize, Don't You (Forget About Me), Alive and Kicking, and Let There Be the Love, they have sold more than sixty million records, with five number one albums in the UK.
