
On the occasion of the decisive Euro 2024 qualifying match on Friday, 17 November, at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome against North Macedonia, the travelling exhibition project of the Italian national football team, Sfumature d'Azzurro (Shades of Blue), arrives in the splendid rooms of the Napoleonic Museum.
You have the unmissable opportunity to admire the most stunning and exciting memorabilia, such as the most representative trophies won by the Italian national football team and some prestigious memoirs of its most eminent protagonists, including jerseys, balls, and boots linked to the Azzurri's history, available at the historical headquarters of the Museo del Calcio, located inside the Coverciano Federal Technical Centre since 1990.
Sfumature d'Azzurro is a chronological itinerary through the most significant moments in the history of the FIGC, including the 1934, 1938, 1982, and 2006 World Cups and the 1968 and 2020 European Cups.
In the exhibition spaces, a focus on Roma and Lazio players with the blue shirts of De Sisti (1967), Re Cecconi (1974), Giordano (1985), Ancelotti (1986), Casiraghi (1994), Totti (1998), De Rossi (2011) and Pellegrini (2022).
Also on display are the balls used in the 1930s and those from the Berlin finals (2006 World Cup) and the Wembley final of Euro 2020, boots worn from the 1930s to the present day, and pennants from some historic matches.
You can also relive the 1982 Italy-Germany World Cup final thanks to Virtual Reality and experience the feeling of being on the pitch, next to Bruno Conti, 'Pablito' Rossi and 'Spillo' Altobelli, or in the stands, between Italian President Pertini and Spanish King Juan Carlos.
