The Neoartgallery cultural association organizes the contemporary art exhibition: Regina Viarum at the Cartiera Latina along the Appian Way, with works by Laura Migotto, Pasquale Pazzaglia, Bice Perrini, Valter Vari.
The exhibition, curated by Giorgio Bertozzi and Ferdan Yusufi, presents itself as if it were the result of a single artist in a set of floor installations, large paintings and sculptures: multiform drapes - the work of Laura Migotto, Pasquale Pazzaglia, Bice Perrini - hanging to the steel ribs which function as tie rods for the roof of the room, delimit what is metaphorically intended to be the Forum, at the junction point of the Cardo and Decumanus, the nerve center of the Roman civitas, thus defining the fulcrum of the exhibition towards the which visitors are attracted to and around which the most peripheral parts of the room are organized, where it is possible to admire the other works by Laura Migotto, Bice Perrini, Pasquale Pazzaglia, Valter Vari.
All the works thus contribute to making us reflect on the fundamental importance of communication routes in the evolution of civilizations and societies, from antiquity to today: the exhibition can therefore be considered as a sort of "journey" in space and time with the language of contemporary art, starting from the Appian Way, the Regina Viarum, which faces the area on which stands the complex of the former Latina paper mill of which the room hosting the exhibition was part. The exhibition thus reminds us that the Appian Way connected Rome to the East, thus representing a bridge between West and East.
