Three days of passion, adrenaline and sport, a worldwide show that brings the best drivers of the moment back to the city (26 July) and the Lazio Region (27-28 July) for the fifth round of both the FIA European Rally Championship and the Campionato Italiano Assoluto Rally Sparco.
Organized by Motorsport Italia and former world rally champion Max Rendina, the Rally di Roma Capitale celebrates its 12th edition with exciting new features, thanks to the fundamental collaboration of the Assessorato Grandi Eventi, Turismo, Sport e Moda di Roma Capitale. It will however follow the tradition that has made it over the years a must-attend event for rally fans, families and anyone who wants to experience a weekend of sport and fun.
Before tackling the more than 900 km of track in the territory of the Lazio Region, the crews will descend into the heart of the eternal city. The spectacular opening stage at the Colosseum, reproposed for the third consecutive year, and the unfailing and prestigious parade through the streets of Rome’s historic center are also in this edition of the Rally di Roma Capitale one of the most anticipated moments of the entire European championship. After the Colosseum, the action will move to Fiuggi, confirmed as the Headquarters with HQ and Paddock.
The Rally will continue this year in its commitment to protecting the environment to maintain the three stars achieved last year under the important FIA Environmental Program, for example by using hybrid or electric service cars, focusing on waste minimization, continuing the “Save the Green” initiative to plant a tree for each crew entered in the race, and selecting a route that avoids sensitive natural areas to minimize the impact on wildlife and contribute to the preservation of natural habitats.
