Nu Genea is coming to Rock in Roma 2023, a Neapolitan duo of producers, DJs, musicians, and sound researchers who have made the new sound of Vesuvian disco-funk known to the whole world.

Four years after Nuova Napoli, Nu Genea are back with Bar Mediterraneo, a new album and a new journey, which projects the sounds of the duo made up of Massimo Di Lena and Lucio Aquilina even further: it is the idea of ​​a common space, where people meet and blend. A place with doors always opened to travelers and their lives always exposed to the whims of fate. You experience it by listening to the multitude of sounds that characterize the songs: layers of acoustic instruments, vocals, and synthesizers that come together in a unique blend of timbres. Opening to the voices of many different peoples, separated by languages ​​but united by the sea and music, the Naples of Nu Genea becomes a true meeting place.

The Neapolitan duo collects the echoes of music that, historically, have bathed the coasts of the Gulf of Naples, their hometown and inexhaustible source of cultural mixes, and create a new furrow in the contemporary scene. They immediately distinguished themselves for the meticulous research that draws inspiration from little-explored sound terrains, sifting through the music of the past and reworking it into a personal formula of sound that is a pure groove with influences from disco, funk, boogie, electronic, folk and more.
