Visual artists, writers, composers, restorers, theorists, art historians, directors, and choreographers are the talented protagonists of the event dedicated to contemporary creation hosted in the splendid Villa Medici.
Sixteen fellows, resident in the Villa until September 2023, as well as of a resident and a guest artist, are the interpreters of a night dedicated to the dialogue between artistic practices. Their works, disciplines and different forms of expression, installations, projections, sound interventions and artist performances are linked to the architecture of the Villa in a suggestive combination of history and contemporary.
La Nuit Blanche, curated by Saverio Verini, is also an extraordinary opportunity to visit Villa Medici. You can stroll under the moonlight in its magnificent gardens with sculptures and fountains and admire its beautiful historical rooms, some of which are exceptionally open to the public.
Participants: the fellows Samir Amarouch, Mounir Ayache, Yasmina Benabderrahmane, Hortense de Corneillan, Lorraine de Sagazan, Dorothée Dupuis, François Durif, Sivan Eldar, Marion Grébert, Bocar Niang, Lasseindra Ninja, Liv Schulman, Anna Solal, Sarah Vanuxem, Ariane Braga, and Laura Vazquez; the winner of the Occitanie-Médicis 2022 Prize Naomi Maury, and the guest artist Fabiola Torres-Alzaga.
