
The legendary pianist returns to the prestigious stage of the Auditorium Parco della Musica in an extraordinary recital for the Chamber Season of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.
Virtuosity, technical ability and original interpre distinguish Pogorelich, born in 1958. Forty years of career and research made him an undisputed protagonist of the world concert scene, since his debut in the early 1980s when he was considered the enfant terrible of classical music.
The talented Croatian musician, who has resumed his concert activity for some years, performs with his unique, evocative and refined style in some compositions by one of the masters of the Early Romantic period, Frédéric Chopin. On the program, the Barcarolle, Op. 60, the Fantaisie, Op. 49, the Sonata No. 3, Op. 58, the Berceuse, Op. 57 and the Polonaise-Fantaisie, Op. 61.
The concert in Rome is part of a tour that sees Pogorelich on the stages of the most important theatres in many countries of Europe and North America, in a program entirely dedicated to the great Polish pianist and composer.
