On the weekend of March 29-30, the Green Market at the City of the Other Economy - CAE becomes the HOLI Festival of Colors, to pay homage to India and to celebrate the arrival of spring: the market will in fact be a celebration of colours where various themed activities and shows will take place, such as the kalaripayattu lesson, the traditional Indian martial art, the hatha yoga and two shows, one of fire and Indian dance, the other in the Bollywood style and also workshops for children and adults that will be themed.
The food and drink points also offer some variations inspired by Indian cuisine, such as the "tandoori chicken" pizza and the chickpea curry served with rice and pakora (fried vegetable appetizer), in addition to non-spicy dishes, such as pizza and burgers or lasagna, cutlet and Sicilian cannoli, all with a vegetable twist.
Inside the market, you can also find items of all kinds self-produced, made without the use of long and polluting supply chains, such as hand-made ceramics, bags and tailored clothing, jewelry forged with different techniques and materials, mosaics, designer lamps, home decorations, stabilized greenery, terrariums, candles, creative recycling, but also rare plants, soaps and natural cosmetics and non-profit associations committed to social issues and environmental protection.
The Green Market Festival is a project of the EticArte association, operating since 2020, led by two women artisans.
