Giua / Asse / Simone Matteuzzi

Multifaceted and versatile, Giua is a musician, composer, songwriter, and painter. Over the years, she has signed various collaborations as a composer of music and performer on stage, working in the productions of many National Theaters and with prominent personalities. Lately, she has collaborated with Neri Marcorè, with whom he shared the scene of the show Quello che non ho. With five albums under her belt, Giua has a long musical career that has led her to win several awards and to be a finalist at the Sanremo Festival in the Youth category in 2008, as well as working with numerous musicians, such as Armando Corsi, Beppe Quirici, Riccardo Thesis, and Fausto Mesolella.

The Asse band was born in Rome in 1990. The original members are Ivan Carpigo, Francesco De Nigris, and Stefano Donato. The band's sound was inevitably strongly influenced by the grunge-rock music of the period, with some rather personal turns and frequent deviations, all combined with lyrics written in Italian. The band broke up in March 1997, right after the last concert at Radio Londra. In 2011, after 15 years, the group reunited with Fabio Massimo Signoretti on drums. Other pieces with a varied but always aftertaste Asse flavour has been added to the old repertoire. The songs are all original and arranged collectively by all the group. They are characterized by engaging energy and live performances that leave their mark.

Simone Matteuzzi is a singer-songwriter and musician born in 2001 in the Milan province. He writes and realizes his songs dozing here and there between chords, perfumes, syllables, and impressions. He has always been in love with black music and with the study of jazz, classical, songwriting, and experimental genres. In the past years, he had a rich feast of Lucio Dalla, Pink Floyd, and the Beatles passing through Miles Davis and the Baustelle. In 2022, he began collaborating with Zebra Sound, a music production and publishing company in Milan, with which he produced his debut project.

Hosted in the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone, RETAPE is the exhibition curated by Ernesto Assante dedicated to the new proposals of the Italian music scene: an observation point, a sort of lighthouse that tries to illuminate the shores of Italian music to help sailors "see" today's scene to discover its new and future protagonists.
