Fountains of Rome Youth Orchestra

The Fountains of Rome Youth Orchestra, which includes graduated and about to graduate musicians between the ages of 16 and 22, presents its first concert at the Vascello Theater, conducted by Luciano Siani. The Orchestra takes its name from the symphonic poem Fontane di Roma (The Fountains of Rome) by the late 19th century composer Ottorino Respighi, because its purpose is to restore the image of young musicians similar to many small fountains from which precious water gushes: that of music, of art, of culture, needful for humankind.

Musical training comes from the desire to have a space where young musicians can grow up playing together and from the desire to gain experience in the orchestra, always studying a new repertoire.

The evening's program includes the Overture from the Don Giovanni  by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the Overture from the Fidelio by Ludwig van Beethoven and the Overture Coriolano op. 62 also by Beethoven, the Prelude to Act I from La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi, the Overture from Il barbiere di Siviglia by Gioacchino Rossini.
