The shots of Carlo Riccardi celebrate the anniversary of the birth of two great protagonists of the Italian cultural world.
On January 20 and June 15 of this year, Federico Fellini and Alberto Sordi, two of the greatest protagonists of Italian and international cinema, would have turned 100.
To honor their genius in the cinema scene, Istituto Quinta Dimensione celebrates them with the exhibition Fellini-Sordi, 100 anni per i protagonisti del cinema italiano.
Through the more than 70 shots by Maestro Carlo Riccardi, you can retrace the most important moments of their career, discover some backstage moments, and see them amazed in receiving prizes.
The exhibition aims to encourage civil society and the institutional world to overcome adversity and demonstrate that a civic, social, and cultural rebirth, even in a rough historical period like the present, is possible. In fact, besides representing two pillars of Italian cinema, Fellini and Sordi embody the feeling of rebirth that characterized Italy after the war: desire, hope, strength, and boldness still represent the concept of "recovery.".
Alberto Sordi, a Roman from Trastevere, wore a unique, tragic, and grotesque mask, cynical and comic at the same time, in which the Romans first but the Italians all reflected themselves.
Federico Fellini, of Roman mother and Roman and by adoption, represented the symbol of Italy in the world and the source of inspiration for dozens of filmmakers. Both lived and told Rome not only with films but also by participating in social events, embellishing and reviving them, collecting prizes, and giving the Eternal City that touch of modern and passionate immortality.
