Timothy Brock in Fantasia Disney

The splendid setting of the Baths of Caracalla hosts Fantasia Disney - Live in concert, the unmissable symphonic music event dedicated to the magic of great animated movies as part of the Caracalla Festival 2024, the summer season of the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma.

On the podium is Timothy Brock, who returns to the stage of the ancient thermal complex after last year's extraordinary success with Charlie Chaplin's The Great Dictator. The famous American conductor and composer conducts the Orchestra dell'Opera di Roma performing live, in sync, the wonderful soundtracks of Fantasia (1940) and Fantasia 2000, two of Disney's most beloved films.

Unforgettable songs, such as Paul Dukas' L'apprenti sorcier (The Sorcerer's Apprentice), the suite from Stravinsky's L'oiseau de feu (The Firebird), the suite from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker, and the orchestral version of Debussy's enchanting Clair de lune, Ottorino Respighi's I Pini di Roma (Pines of Rome) and other beautiful symphonic melodies, accompany the projection, in the original language, on the big screen of some of the most significant and thrilling moments of the two Wald Disney's classics, creating a magical experience to relive timeless stories part of the collective imagination of entire generations.
