As part of the Summertime 2026 festival, Enzo Avitabile brings his Acoustic World project to the stage at the Casa del Jazz – a journey that retraces the last 23 years of his recording career through an acoustic lens, ranging from classical to ethnic music.
Born in Naples, Enzo Avitabile is a singer, composer and accomplished multi-instrumentalist who has collaborated with pop and rock artists from all over the world, from James Brown to Tina Turner and Pino Daniele. His unique musical style and the constant, original exploration of expression in his lyrics and compositions – always with a keen eye on social issues and the Global South – have made him one of the world’s leading figures in “World Music” and arguably the most representative Italian artist of this genre.
With Gianluigi Di Fenza on guitar, Emidio Ausiello on percussion and Marco Pescosolido on cello, Avitabile will perform pieces from all his projects from 2003 to the present day, ranging from “Salvamm ‘O Munno” to “Sacro Sud”, “Festa Farina e Forca”, “Napoletana”, “Black Tarantella” and “Lotto Infinito”, guiding the audience on an intimate and emotional journey.
