Part of the widespread festival “PPP Visionario” with which the city commemorates the artist and intellectual Pier Paolo Pasolini 50 years after his murder (on 2 November 1975), the free exhibition at the Biblioteca Guglielmo Marconi is promoted by Rome’s 11th municipality. This area of the city preserves many of the most intense places in Pasolini’s imagination (the Trullo, the Magliana, Ponte Marconi), a source of inspiration for his works and film sets such as “The Hawks and the Sparrows”.
Curated by Camillo Granchelli with artistic and narrative supervision by Dario Pontuale, the exhibition combines photography, visual storytelling and critical reflection to restore value to places and their memory and trace Pasolini’s imprint in today’s urban areas. The program also includes a series of meetings, readings and conversations (on 7, 14 and 28 November) with scholars, artists, actors and citizens in an open dialogue on poetry, cinema and the civic power of Pasolini’s thought.
The exhibition can be visited during the Library’s opening hours: Monday from 2 pm to 7 pm, Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 7 pm, Saturday from 2 pm to 7 pm.
