The cultural event Corsini plays at the National Gallery of Ancient Art in Palazzo Corsini, offers a series of musical performances organized by the Farnesina High School.
The program of the event, which is part of the Apollo, Dafne and the Music rooms project, includes lyrics with singing, continuous bass and solo instruments, from the works of Stefano Landi (1587-1639), Marco Marazzoli (1602-1662), Luigi Rossi (1597-1693) and Barbara Strozzi (1609-1677).
The exhibitions accompany the public's visit, allowing them to enjoy the works of art in an unusual and original way.
The collection of the National Gallery of Palazzo Corsini is made up of sculptures from the Roman era, neoclassical statues, bronzes and furniture from the 18th century, paintings by seventeenth-eighteenth century authors with important groups of landscape artists. Among the works exhibited in the Gallery, we can mention the masterpieces of Beato Angelico, P.P. Rubens, Guido Reni, Guercino, Caravaggio and Annibale Carracci.
