Campionati Italiani Cyclo-cross 2023

A new important event dedicated to cycling and taking place in an exceptional place: on 14 and 15 January, the Ostia Antica pine forest, part of the Riserva Protetta della Pineta di Castel Fusano, will host the Italian Cyclocross 2023 Championships, organized by Team Bike Terenzi in collaboration with DP66 Giant SMP.

The race days are organized for the first time inside a tourist facility, the Camping Village Roma Capitol, in the heart of the nature reserve, and will feature nearly 1,000 athletes, coaches and companions. Saturday is dedicated to trials and masters’ races. Five races are scheduled on Sunday: starting at 9:30 a.m. with the race reserved for junior men, followed by the races for junior women and U23 men, and ending with the races reserved for elite women and men, scheduled at 1:20 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., respectively.

The circuit designed inside the campsite, 2680 meters long, is mostly flat, with some depressions and slight slope in the second part, and mostrly on grass with a few stretches on sand and breccia. In the initial part, 350 meters from the start, there is a 20-step bridge. The middle section is the most technical one, while the initial and final portions run on straights.
